Counseling for Idaho, online or in-person
Person-centered therapy for adults navigating identity, relationships, religious trauma, and the long cost of being raised to hide who you are. Online across Idaho, with in-person sessions in Boise by request.
You don’t have to go it alone
Many of my clients feel like outsiders, shaped by family dynamics, relationships, or communities where they never quite fit. Maybe you were taught to hide your feelings, to “tough it out,” or to live up to expectations that don’t match who you really are. Over time, those pressures can leave you feeling disconnected, stuck, or unsure of your path forward. You don’t have to carry that weight alone. Together, we’ll uncover the roots of your struggles and work toward a life of clarity, connection, and confidence – on your own terms.
Hi, I’m Corby Weeaks
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I know firsthand what it’s like to feel like an outsider. Growing up in a small Texas town as a gay man, I often felt out of step with the expectations of family, politics, and religion. That experience shaped the way I approach therapy: with empathy, openness, and a deep respect for the complexity of people’s lives.
I specialize in supporting:
Men who struggle with vulnerability, anger, or isolation
Individuals navigating relationship challenges, including infidelity and ethical non-monogamy
LGBTQIA+ clients seeking affirming support for identity, relationships, and belonging
Those impacted by religion, whether that means healing from painful teachings, finding peace with faith, or both
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to translate who you are. Therapy with me isn’t about surface-level solutions, it’s about building insight, resilience, and self-acceptance so you can move forward with more freedom and authenticity.
Practice Specialization

Person-Centered Approach
Working with me looks different depending on who you are and what brought you in. The frame stays the same, though: you set the direction, and I help you understand the patterns that are already running in the background.
You set the pace. We don't push past what you're ready for, and we don't dig into anything before its time. Healing that moves too fast doesn't last.
Sessions are tailored, not scripted. Every person carries a different story. The work we do together fits yours, not a template.
You're the expert on your own life. I'm not going to interpret your experience back to you or hand you a worksheet. The work is yours; my job is to ask better questions and sit with what comes up.
Together, we'll trace patterns back to where they started. Family of origin, religious upbringing, earlier relationships, the messages you absorbed about who you were supposed to be. Not to assign blame, but to understand what's yours and what was given to you.
Individual sessions for adults, online or in-person
Fifty-minute one-on-one sessions, conducted via secure telehealth across Idaho or in person in Boise by request. Most clients meet online, which makes scheduling easier and gives us flexibility to work around your life. Sessions work from your computer, tablet, or phone, wherever you're most comfortable.
