About Me
Corby Weeaks, LPC
I’ve always been drawn to supporting people who feel like they don’t quite fit the mold. My own story includes growing up in a farming and ranching family in small-town Texas, spending years as a teacher and athletic trainer, and working in the fast-paced world of tech before becoming a counselor. Through all of those chapters, one theme has been constant: people often carry invisible stories and expectations that weigh heavily on them.
As a counselor, I work with adults who are ready to unpack those stories. For some, it’s the challenge of navigating relationships – infidelity, disconnection, or ethical non-monogamy. For others, it’s the struggle of being a man raised to “tough it out,” or the pain of reconciling religious teachings with identity and self-worth. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQIA+ and want a space where they don’t have to explain or defend who they are.
My approach is person-centered, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. I bring empathy, curiosity, and honesty into our work, creating space for you to explore the past, understand the present, and step into the future you want.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. You just have to be open minded and willing to begin.
